2. Make it hot: Heat a grill pan or panini press over medium heat.
3. Assemble your sandwich: Spread mayonnaise or mustard (if using) on one side of each bread slice. Layer ham slices, cooked eggs, lettuce leaves, and sliced tomato on one bread slice.
4. Almost done: Top with the other bread slice to form your sandwich.
5. Get it oiled up: Brush the outer sides of the sandwich with olive oil or spread butter.
